When Sugar Ray Robinson defeated J. LaMotta in their fifth fight it was epic. LaMotta had defeated Robinson on their second fight and had defeated Marcel Cerdan for the title. He fought valiantly but Robinson massacred him in round 13 forcing referee Frank Sikora to stop the fight with LaMotta bleeding in the ropes. Sikora is raising Ray's first in victory.
