After an upset defeat losing his middle weight tittle to Randy Turpin in London July 10, 1951 the rematch at Polo Ground New York September 12, 1957 before 61, 370 spectators in the crowd Robinson, the greatest fighter ever was bled from a gash in his left eyebrow in the 10th round. Facing a loss by technical knockout, he dropped Turpin with a right cross and when he got up at the count of nine, he barraged Turpin to submission and technical knockout at the 2:52 mark.
